Wanna dance, mother- by Gray-Seraphim Wanna dance, mother- by Gray-Seraphim
Reginald and Tim, from :iconbeanjamish:'s Parallel Dementia, look so happy don't they?
That's because they had as much fun as they could during the summer, but now it's back to classes. Hope you all had as much fun as they did!

PD is an interesting and dark comic. The plot of which is still shrouded in mystery. All you know is that something is breaking out... something big. Also, aside from the kickass demon/ angel fighting action, there is a self aware indestructible robot in the mix, which is pretty cool on its own, so check it out [link]

Now onto the hardships. I actually started this at the same time as Matt's. The only difference. That one was digital. But for some reason I wanted to try something different. So I thought, "What haven't I tried in a while?" Boom, water colors. So yeah. A cheap old brush with a pen that had a damaged calligraphy tip made for the hardest piece I've done so far. I was used to acrylics and oils, so I thought as long as I layed it on all impasto, it shouldn't be much different... water colors blow with that method. And I need to go by a new pen tip. This one split on me causing unnecessary splotching... and I'm hungry.
alright I'm done bitching. I hope you like this one.

I was fighting myself a bit on the idea. Part of what makes Reggie charming, is his deadpan disposition. But thanks, I think it turned out well this way too! Now be careful, PD starts off slow, but it picks up speed like a freight train.

I know, isn't he cool?
I loved him a couple pages back:
*le gaspe!*
"Unfortunate. That was a good hat."

nice job on the position, very dynamic and the lighting and gesture are both very natural looking. Great job.

...and now for downside. Fire guy's f-u hand seems at least thrice as big as the other one. also, where's the bottom half of his body. it just ends behind the other guy's jacket. Also, big guy's other leg seems to be missing, so at first glance he looks like he's in a different position than he really is.

Actually I decided that most of that hand should be blackened, if you look closely it's shaded until it disappears behind Reg's hand. When you see the wrist reappear, it's actually the same width as the other, but with more black, giving that illusion.
as for the rest of his body... I was lazy. I made it clear that I already despised the process of making it, so adding legs when clearly they add nothing to the piece... it's pretty much a no go.

i don't mean the width, i mean the length of the hand. since in that position it'd be closer to the viewer, it should be slightly bigger, but if you compare the length from the wrist to the knuckle on each, the f-u hand is longer.

Actually yeah the angle of the wrist doesn't allow that excuse, huh? Touche, my friend. Touche.

Also consider the angle it's at since it's grabbing the tie, watch how that trapezoid of the back of the hand switches perspective when you try to grab stuff like that.

Thanks a bunch. Love the attitude these two have. And I think that you put stress and tears into this just makes it all the more potent (especially by PD Blood Magic logic...)

Thanks a bunch! Maybe that explains the unholy vibes that the paper exuded... nah wait, it's just my misery. Ah well, glad you like it. That's the stuff that makes my work worth the effort.
